The 3 Pillars of Regulated Leadership for Perinatal Professionals
Leadership in birth and postpartum work is different. We are leading in high-emotion spaces. We are managing heart-centered professionals. We are building businesses inside an industry that is still defining its standards and still after decades of forward progress has yet to demand respect in some spaces. Many agency owners and trainers were never formally taught how to lead, only how to serve.
This advanced session is designed for leaders who are ready to mature their impact.
Together, we will explore the 4 Pillars of Regulated Leadership:
- Regulate Yourself First: Why nervous system awareness and emotional intelligence are the foundation of strong leadership.
- Lead People Without Losing Yourself: How to hold boundaries, manage conflict, and address performance without over-functioning or burning out.
- Lead Systems, Not Drama: Turning complaints, miscommunication, and team friction into process clarity and stronger infrastructure.
This is not a motivational talk, it is a strategic and reflective conversation about how we lead at higher levels, within our agencies, our training organizations, and our profession as a whole.
Participants will consider:
- Clearer leadership boundaries
- Practical frameworks for conflict and performance conversations
- A stronger systems mindset
- And a renewed sense of responsibility for shaping the future of the field
Birth work is intimate. Leadership must be clear, courageous, leading with heart but managing with intellect.
