My Dream is a Reality and Reality Bites

60 - Full Day minutes

This session may be eligible for R-Cerps. Do you feel called to working with mothers and babies? Was it your dream to be a lactation consultant or doula but now the realities of balancing family, personal and work responsibilities seems overwhelming? Finding ways to make your work a reflection of your authentic life will make you better at what you do and able to serve mothers and babies for years to come. Very interactive and practical session including suggestions participants can implement immediately.

This presentation can be altered to fit the group of mother-baby professionals or volunteers. It can also be given as a short session of 1 hour be an entire weekend workshop. The longer sessions are more interactive and exploratory.

Developing a Personal Self-Care Plan

60 - 90 minutes

You are WORTHY now! Enjoy your life and your work by developing a purposeful plan for work and play!

This is an interactive and fun session. Ideally, each participant would have a copy of the book to work through during the presentation but it is not necessary. Session could also be broken into several sessions or be presented as a pre or post conference half day session.

Why we treat babies like dogs and other curiosities

60 - 90 minutes

*CERPs could be applied for. Get ideas on how to communicate with parents who may have very different ideas on baby behavior, sleep and nutrition than what current evidence supports.
