About the Speaker

 

Lisa Fields connects creativity, humor, and practical wisdom along with a M.S.in adult education. She has over twenty years experience as a professional trainer and speaker. Ms. Fields has been honored to be a speaker for the NC WIC program since 2008. Lisa designed and presented a customized session for the breastfeeding peer counselors for the 2011 NC WIC Breastfeeding Leadership Conference. Lisa is a Stanford ePatient Scholar due to her extensive work in the area of health care and social media. Mr. Lee Aase, Director of Social Media at the Mayo Clinic, included her work in the Social Media University, Global Twitter curriculum.

Lisa Fields, M.S., has been a speaker for the NC WIC Conference since 2008. She presented for the NC WIC Breastfeeding Leadership Conference 2011. Lisa has a M.S. in Adult Education. Mr. Lee Asse, Director of Social Media, for the Mayo Clinic included her work in his Twitter Curriculum. Dr. Larry Chu refers to Ms. Fields as a Stanford ePatient Scholar and included her as a panelist during the 4th World Congress on Social Media and Web 2.0 at Stanford.

While bullying has been with us for years and years, the reach and harm that can be done by bullies with the aid of advanced technology is concerning. This program will give a general overview of this issue and give practical ideas of how you can assist with prevention and intervention efforts.

This session will include an Interactive PowerPoint during the presentation. For sessions over 60 minutes A case study and other active learning activities will be included.
