About the Speaker
Dr. Jain is a Physician Specialist in Lactation with many years of experience solving challenging problems,particularly those requiring medical expertise. Director of the Lakeview Breastfeeding Clinic in Calgary, she is professor at the University of Calgary Faculty of Medicine. She practiced 20 years of Family Practice Obstetrics and was awarded Physician of the Year in this discipline at the Rockyview Hospital in 2007. She regularly provides seminars for health professionals and the public on breastfeeding and women’s health.Dr. Jain has published research and other articles on breastfeeding for both parents and professionals. She is a popular speaker across the US,Canada,and internationally, on lactation. Teaching materials, including a highly acclaimed DVD "Tongue-tie:Impact on Breastfeeding", have been developed at her Clinic.
